Appeal for witnesses and information following Basingstoke assault |

We are appealing for your help as we continue our investigation into an assault in Basingstoke. During the incident, which occurred between 12.10pm and 12.15pm on Thursday 27 November, a man was walking alone when another man approached him and threw an unknown liquid substance in his face. The incident occurred on a footpath within a wooded area near to Parcel Drive. It’s believed there were several dog walkers in the area at the time. The victim – a man in his 40s – suffered slight skin injuries to his face. The man we would like to speak to in connection with the incident is described as; • Approximately 5ft 9ins tall We are aware there were a number of dog walkers in the area and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything of the incident.
